Landscaping

When it becomes necessary to disturb members' yards in order to replace underground utility lines, GHI will take the steps necessary to restore yards to their original conditions as closely as is possible. This includes removing vegetation and landscape features for reinstallation, where possible, or purchasing and replacing new materials in consultation with members, in the following manner:

Policy Regarding Unlocking Crawl Space & Boiler Room Doors

In order to improve the efficiency of maintenance operations, the Board of Directors approved a revision to the policy regarding unlocking of crawlspace and boiler room doors. The revised policy is as follows:

Boiler Rooms and Crawl Space areas (hear after referred to as "crawl spaces") under GHI town homes are classified as confined spaces. For safety and liability reasons, GHI enforces restrictions as to who can enter and what type of work should be performed in these areas.  The following procedure shall be followed with regard to unlocking of crawl spaces:

In accordance with each member’s Mutual Ownership Contract, GHI provides insurance on the structure of member's homes, both original unit and addition(s) including any new addition constructed by the current member, but not on personal property or upgrades to builder-grade* materials. The following is a statement of conditions and components covered for loss by GHI's insurer.
