Volunteers Needed to Serve on a Task Force to Recommend Actions Re: GHI Permit Review Process Based on Member Comments Received

Nearly one hundred members submitted written comments (see pdf below) regarding the GHI Finance’s recommendation to institute fees for processing permit requests for improvements, alterations, and additions. On April 15th, the Board reviewed those comments and decided to establish a task force to recommend the following by August 31, 2021:

a)    Actions that should be implemented to improve GHI’s permit process for improvements, alterations, and additions.

b)    Whether GHI should charge fees for permit reviews and if so, what amounts should be charged.

c)    Actions that should be implemented to improve members’ understanding of the permit process.

Members desirous of serving on this task force should complete and submit the volunteer interest form here. Alternatively, a paper  copy of the volunteer interest form can be obtained from the receptionist’s desk at the Administration office and after it is filled out, the form can be either returned or posted to the Manager’s Office at 1 Hamilton Place, Greenbelt, MD 20770.
