City Council Candidate Forum

As a Candidate for Greenbelt’s City Council, you are cordially invited to the Greenbelt Homes Inc. Virtual Candidate Forum scheduled for Tuesday October  19th at 7:00 PM EST. We’d like to use this as an opportunity for residents to learn more about you as neighbors, your thoughts on matters important to Greenbelt residents, and the approach you’d employ in furthering development, community inclusion, and equity across our city.  

Our partners with Greenbelt Access Television (GATE) will be offering support to this forum and will broadcast it on our local public access channel.  

This moderated forum will run approximately 75 minutes with an opportunity for each candidate to respond to questions that were recommended by local Greenbelt residents.  Each candidate will be offered a one (1) minute introduction and 30 seconds to respond to each question with an audible warning at 10 seconds.  While we would like your responses to reflect your personal views on each question, this forum will not operate as a debate and rebuttals to other candidte’s responses will not be allowed. We want the spirit of this forum to be informative, neighborly, and collaborative. In addition, we will not be able to enable the chat function during the forum, so all questions will originate from the moderator.  

 We hope you accept our invitation and look forward to receiving your confirmed availability as soon as possible.  We will provide a list of the possible questions for your benefit as well as the Zoom information by October 11th.  Please let us know if you have any questions.
