Bamboo Removal Workday

Meet at 11 Hillside Road (teal house) look for the tarps and work sign. Maya R. will be coordinating.

Questions: mayarbnsn@gmail.com

Help us fight invasives! Our mission is to cut down and remove as much bamboo as possible from the woods near our homes. This is invasive persistent bamboo that is damaging the forest and causing property damage. Our goal is eradication. This is a multi-year project. We need some people to cut bamboo and other people to carry the bamboo away towards the street.

What to bring:

1. A face mask for when you are in proximity to others. All participants are required to socially distance as much as possible for their safety and that of others.

2. Clothes that cover your skin. There are other plants in the same area that you will want to protect yourself from. We recommend you wear thick pants like jeans or work pants to protect against scratches.

3. Your own bug repellent, hand sanitizer, etc.

4. Tools and equipment will be provided, but if you have some of your own please bring them to facilitate other volunteers involvement.
