Woodlands - Work Day

Start Date:
Saturday, June 9, 2018 - 9:00am
End Date:
Saturday, June 9, 2018 - 11:00am

It’s spring and time to inspect and “tidy” our woodland trails.   Branches fall, thorny invasive thickets extend themselves into the trail and trash mysteriously grows by the wayside.  Heavy storms wash away soil.  Insects or fungus can damage or kill the trees.  We may not be skilled enough to detect the presence of the latter, but we can walk our trails, give them a “spring clearing,” pick up the trash and make note of any serious erosion issues.

On Saturday, June 9th at 9:00 a.m., we’ll do just that.  We’ll begin at the Canyon Creek Trailhead between 58 and 62 Ct Ridge Rd and work through the Parcel B and Parcel C trails.

Please wear boots, work gloves, and protective clothing.  The bugs are also enjoying the woods these days.  Bring clippers or loppers, if you have them — we have a few pair of gloves and some tools you can use, if you don’t.

Come join us on Saturday morning — help us maintain as well as preserve our woodlands.
