Woodlands Work-Day

Springtime Maintenance for GHI Trails. Please come help take care of our trails. We'll meet at 10am Saturday, May 22 at the Canyon Creek Trailhead between 58 and 62 Ridge Road.

We'll work on improving trail tread drainage to reduce erosion and muddy spots on trails; cutting back brush intruding or likely to intrude on trails; and assessing trail conditions and needs for additional maintenance, invasive species management, and restorative planting along the trail. Please wear shoes and clothes to be ready for trail work, insects, sun, or rain. Gloves and tools provided by the GHI Woodlands Committee. Since the best time to observe trail drainage is during or after rain, this activity will proceed rain or shine (except for strong winds or lightning conditions). We will start on the Canyon Creek Trail and then depending on participants, interests, and time may also cover GHI trails from Plateau Place and Laurel Hill.
