Member Comments Requested re: Proposed Rules re: Impervious Surfaces and Run-off Capture and Control Requirements

 

 

The Stormwater Sub-Committee is proposing that the Board of Directors establishing new rules regarding Impervious Surfaces (see pdf below) and Run-off Capture and Control Requirements (see pdf below).

The proposed Impervious Surface Rules are intended to reduce or prevent flooding in GHI and reduce negative effects on area streams, by limiting the amount of impervious surfaces in GHI yards and requiring use of permeable materials. The proposed rules regarding Run-off Capture & Control Requirements specify several measures that members can implement to capture and/or control any increased runoff resulting from the construction of an exterior alteration, improvement, or addition.

Members are encouraged to submit written comments about the proposed rules regarding Impervious Surfaces and Run-off Capture and Control Requirements, to the Manager’s Office, 1 Hamilton Place, Greenbelt, MD 20770 or send e-mails to mgmtoffice@ghi.coop by Wednesday, May 18, 2022.
